Support the Eucharistic CongressMy Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ: I invite you to join me and the faithful from all over the Archdiocese of Atlanta who will come together to reflect on and celebrate the great mystery of the Eucharist during the annual Eucharistic Congress. From June 4 to 5, 2010, it is expected that 30,000 bishops, priests, deacons, religious and lay people will gather at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta to come to a deeper appreciation of God’s gift of himself for the life of the world. This year’s theme, “To Sanctify the Christian People,” celebrates the Year of the Priest and the indelible link between the Eucharist and the priesthood. It is my desire that this special event be available at no cost to all who wish to attend. Therefore, there is no admission fee or registration required for the Congress. Nevertheless the event does cost money to host, and acting as a good steward of the resources at my disposal, I would like to ask you to help defray the cost of the Congress by making a contribution to the event.
