Atlanta Catholics Celebrate King’s Dream of the Beloved Community
Atlanta, GA – For more than two decades, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta, Office for Black Catholic Ministry, has had the great honor to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This year’s annual celebration will be held on January 15 and 16, 2005 at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. During the weekend events we are holding a can food drive to help combat the issue of hunger in our state. There will be Girl and Boy Scouts standing with canisters collecting can food on both Saturday and Sunday. The food collected will be given to The Atlanta Community Food Bank.
