Archival Collections of the Archdiocese of Atlanta
The Archives of the Archdiocese of Atlanta contains collections of historical records and primary source materials in a variety of media formats. The majority of the collections consist of paper-based records of the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Materials span from 1822 to present time, although the bulk of processed materials date from 1956 since Atlanta did not become its own diocese until that year.
The collections can assist staff, parishioners and the public with research and reference inquiries. Please refer to the Programs & Services Web page for more information. Also contact the Archives for more information about available records. The status (staff, parishioner, or general public) of the requestor will determine the level of access to archival materials. Some materials may be restricted.
