Gregory and Bishop Zarama will preside over a special Mass of Thanksgiving for Bishop-elect Gregory Hartmayer, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 1st at the Cathedral of Christ the King, 2699 Peachtree Road N.E., Atlanta, Georgia 30305. Bishop-elect Hartmayer is a member of the Conventual Franciscans and is only the second priest from the religious order to serve as bishop in the United States in the last 100 years. Archbishop Gregory states, "Our Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI has chosen an outstanding priest and pastor from our Archdiocese to serve as the next Bishop of Savannah. He will bring with him the great spiritual heritage of St. Francis of Assisi and the pastoral experience to be a zealous and effective shepherd for the church in South Georgia. Fr. Gregory J.
