The Shrine of the Immaculate Conception is looking for a part-time Minister of Discipleship who has the skill and experience to direct and lead the Shrine Discipleship Committee and coordinate with parish staff and parishioners in carrying forward the systems and processes currently in place that will encourage greater parishioner involvement and commitment to Discipleship. The selected candidate will also be expected to modify the current plans that run through the fall of 2011 where appropriate, adding their creative energy to make the programs more effective as it is deemed necessary. Most Blessed Sacrament is seeking a Director of Music. The position is part-time. The duties include coordinating and planning in conjunction with the pastor the weekend Masses, playing piano or organ, coordinating/planning of any special worship services, development and coordination of the choirs (adult and youth), training and preparing cantors, and to inspire others to participate in the music ministry. Should be familiar with various musical traditions (knowledge of music in the African American tradition is helpful but not required). This person would be available for weddings and funerals for an additional stipend. Salary is negotiable based on experience and skill level. Send resume to Rev.
