The Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta seeks an Executive Assistant reporting directly to the Archbishop of Atlanta.  The executive assistant will provide administrative support and be the primary contact person for the Archbishop.  The person will be a critical link between the Archbishop, his direct reports, various Archdiocesan committees, parishes, other archdiocese/Diocese and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.  Duties and responsibilities: include a full range of general office administrative duties, Strong calendar management skills including meeting planning administration, Extensive travel planning ability.  Handle correspondence and document preparation/tracking for the Archbishop.  Maintain office and project files.  Plan and coordinate meetings, seminars, and other gatherings.  Ensure high quality and comprehensive responses to major interest of the Office of the Archbishop.  Ability to construct and deliver comprehensive and effective communications initiatives to address a variety of issues.  Liaison with internal and external contacts.  Handle confidential matters.  Facilitate development and distribution of  agendas for in-house and external meetings and prepare minutes from such meetings.  Knowledge and experience requirements: include a working knowledge of the teachings and terminology of the Catholic Church.  Two years college, undergraduate degree preferred or equivalent experience.  At least five years executive assistant experience for a senior executive.  Excellent verbal and written communications skills.  MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.  Outgoing positive professionalism and polished appearance.  Strong organizational and time management skills.
