Office for Divine Worship
Purpose and Mission
The Office for Divine Worship of the Archdiocese of Atlanta serves to assist parishes and the entire Archdiocese to worship God with rich and beautiful expressions of Catholic liturgy. It provides direct support to the parishes, as well as programs designed to aid parish clergy, volunteers, and staff; assists the Archbishop in his role as Chief liturgist of the Archdiocese; and provides organization and support for Archdiocesan liturgies.

Director: Father Theodore Book, SLL

Father Theodore Book has a license in sacred liturgy, which is a postgraduate
degree designed to prepare someone to teach liturgy in a seminary or catholic
university. He completed his studies in 2003 at the Pontifical Liturgical
Institute in Rome, the same place where Archbishop Gregory completed his
liturgical studies. |

Patricia DeJarnett earned a Ph.D. and taught for over 30 years at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. She is currently working on a Master of Arts in Liturgy at The Liturgical Institute at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake, Mundelein Seminary. |
