Marriage Preparation
 Congratulations on your engagement! The decision to marry is truly one of the most important and joyful decisions of your lives. We would like to encourage you both to take this time of engagement as an opportunity to prepare for your marriage.
Many couples look forward to a “picture-perfect” wedding. So planning your wedding day and all of the events surrounding it can easily consume most of your time and attention. But the terms “wedding planning” and “marriage preparation” are not synonymous. Your wedding day is just the beginning of your life-long marriage to each other and of the new family, you are establishing. During your engagement, it is vital to devote enough time to discernment and preparation for the vocation of married life. All engaged couples need time to pray, reflect and talk with each other in a time and a space away from other demands on your time and attention.
