Saint George Trek Scholarship Application

The 2011 St. George Trek, the National Catholic Committee on Scouting's high adventure leadership program, is open to any Catholic Boy Scout or Venture Scout (girls included), 15 years of age or older as of July 7, 2011 and in high school the fall of 2011. The girls must be registered, active members of a Venture Crew and the boys must be registered, active members of a Venture Crew or Boy Scout Troop. This is not open to Girl Scouts. Designed to develop organizational and relational skills for leadership as well as nourishing the scout's spirituality, the program will bring Catholic high school youth from around the country together with selected priests, religious and seminarians for eleven days of backpacking on the trail including three days of intensive leadership training at a back country base camp. The 2011 St. George Trek runs from July 7-22, 2011 at the Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico.
