Please note: Classes are on a first-come, first-served basis. Fees are based on each specific class. There is a minimum requirement of 4 students for any class to be held.

ParishSoft Basics Training: Family Directory, Religious Education, Offering, Time & Talent

Systems Covered: ParishSOFT
Length of Course: Two-days for all modules or half-day per module
Cost: $100/person (for one or all modules)

Full Course*
For Parish Administrators and Key parish personnel.

Individual Modules
for those staff members or volunteers that need training in specialized areas only.

System Administrator - individual(s) knowledgeable in all modules and who will be responsible for administering the system. i.e. those individuals that will have full rights to everything and be the person to troubleshoot for the remaining staff. Full two day course.

Family Directory- The individual(s) responsible for adding, EDITING and DELETING family and member information, running census reports, directories and correspondence including envelope lists, and bulk mailings.

Offertory – That individual(s) responsible for posting weekly collections for all funds, running contribution statements, Posting and maintaining Pledge records, and other areas connected to the parish contributions. (not including the financials).

Religious Education – those individuals who are or will be responsible for actively building your sessions and classes or those individuals who will be “hands on” involved with updating information and or class lists, creating reports, or maintaining sacramental records.

Time & Talent – those individuals who will be maintaining Ministry lists, scheduling Ministers, inputting responses from Stewardship drives, creating rosters or posting schedules.

Length of Course: Full Day
Cost: $50/person (for one or all modules)

Hands on in-depth exploration of ParishSOFT reports, how modify ParishSOFT reports and create your own basic custom queries to build your own reports. This
course will allow participant to:

  • Review structure of existing reports
  • Edit reports for content
  • Review ParishSOFT tables and relationships
  • Create basic Queries
  • Design new reports

PRE-REQUISITES: Participant must have completed MS Access Level one or 1 year experience with ParishSOFT.

HRiPortal for the New Business Manager

Length of Course: Half-day, 9 a.m. - noon
Cost: free!

Offered for the new business managers, this will provide an introduction to the HRiPortal, the workflow for hiring, changing and terminating employees. Not a new business manager but need a refresher in the process? Then join us for this class.

MailMerge

Length of Course: Half Day
Cost: $25 per person

This class will review the basic components of mail merge. You will learn to successfully create a merge document; utilize the mail merge function in ParishSOFT.

At the completion of this class you will have an understanding of:

  • The components of Mail Merge
  • What a mail merge field is
  • The difference between a Word Field and a Merge Field
  • How to use the Merge toolbar
  • The Mail Merge Task Pane
  • How to setup a main document
  • How to connect to a database or data source
  • How to create a data source
  • How to save a document as a template for future use.
  • Understand how ParishSOFT utilizes Microsoft Mail merge wizard.
