Mission History

Saint Benedict is the mother church of the Divino Nino Jesus Mission in Duluth (Mision Catolico Del Divino Nino Jesus). The Spanish speaking mission was established in 2001 and originally held masses in a strip mall on Buford Highway. After a fire on January 18, 2007 destroyed the mission, the congregation temporarily relocated to Saint Monica. On November 14, 2009, Auxiliary Bishop Luis Zurama dedicated the mission's new home at 4400 Abbotts Bridge Road.
