With the support of the Archdiocese of Atlanta, on Wednesday, September 12,
2007 a new grass roots group launched its creation during its first press
conference at Central Presbyterian Church across from the State Capitol in
downtown Atlanta. The goal of this group is to highlight the significant contributions
of Georgia's Hispanic community in particular and immigrant communities in
general and to ensure a welcoming environment for immigrants of all backgrounds
in Georgia.
