Funeral Arrangements

As is customary at the death of a priest, all priests serving in the Archdiocese of Atlanta are asked to offer three Masses for the repose of the soul of Msgr. Walter J. Donovan.

The funeral arrangements are as follows:

The remains of Msgr. Donovan will be brought to All Saints Catholic Church at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, and will be at All Saints Catholic Church until after the Funeral Mass scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1. The following services are open to all clergy and parishioners:

Tuesday, July 31

• The reception of the body will be at 3:00 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church.  The Vigil and Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, August 1

• The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church. The burial will take place at Arlington Cemetery in Sandy Springs at 12:30 p.m. 

• Please note, there will not be a procession to the Cemetery; instead, you are invited to gather at Arlington Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. 

Additional Important Information

All Saints Catholic Church

All Saints Catholic Church is located at 2443 Mount Vernon Road, Dunwoody, Georgia 30338.  Clergy and parishioners are invited to participate in all of the ceremonies. For the 7:00 p.m. Vigil on Tuesday evening, clergy wishing to sit in choir are asked to please bring choir dress or alb and violet stole. Vesting will be in the library in the administration building. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1. Priests and Deacons will vest in the library in the administration building [please bring alb].
